There are only two items, imo, to order [not keen on anything else]: raw oysters and the Royal Red Shrimp. You cannot get these shrimp anywhere else in the world as they are only available along a limited amount of the Gulf Coast. Nice sunsets. Only a 20 minute drive across Lake Pontchartrain on I-10... Combine this with your swamp tour, dinner or lunch.

Get the raw oysters ~ they have the very best selection in town for the connoisseur. The market features other vendors, but I usually get a glass of rose and three or four dozen oysters. And then I'm really happy.
