One of the most expensive attractions. A must see that takes at least half a day. We love the special exhibits. The next special attraction is the Christmas display. Awesome.

The Urban Trail is an easy and free way to see the history of Asheville. Children love to discover the next tiles or clues on the trail. You can cut it short or discover some interesting stores and galleries.

Parks & Nature

Hiking trails with gorgeous views over Lake Lure. We pack a lunch and eat it on the terrace. Then, we hike to the waterfall and take the loop course. It is challenging at places, but exciting as well. We do avoid the steps, not good for our knees and joints... As a special event in the summertime, we cool off by stepping under the waterfall. Ice-cold water, but refreshing. Don't forget a bathing suit and something to dry you off. The entrance fee is the only drawback.
