Sightseeing

A very big tourist hot spot but even as a local I am obsessed! The market has a diverse array of vendors from fresh seafood to delicious desserts. Walk around and check out on of the many restaurants including Granville Island Brewing. There are also several charter companies that offer boat tours and rentals.

One of the best aquariums I have ever been to that I now recommend to anyone who visits me. The facility is also home to 3 California Sea Lions as well as a marine mammal rehabilitation center for all of the local seals and otters.

Walk the Stanley Park Sea Wall or rent a bike from one of the many local rental shops. (approx. 2 hour walk / 1 hour bike). I do this weekly in the summer and I still have not gotten over how beautiful the views are. See if you can spot the starfish clinging to the wall or the seals floating just off shore!

Getting around

Take the downtown ferries

A super cool alternative to ubering or walking around the city is to take one of the many ferry routes. Best part is, there is a dock about a 5 minute walk from my front door down near sunset beach behind the Vancouver Aquatic Centre. https://granvilleislandferries.bc.ca/dock-locations/
