(Metro La Latina – Linea 5) One of my favorite neighborhoods to visit, especially on Sunday. Spend your entire afternoon jumping from one bar to the other eating affordable tapas, having glasses of wine and enjoying the ambience. Mojito specials are offered closer to midnight and you can keep going a few hours into the night. If you do make it on a Sunday get there around 3 pm (late lunch time) if you get there earlier it will be a bit dead.

Also great to walk around, full of pubs at night and small ‘nightclubs’. Plaza Santa Ana has a few restaurants that are nice. The ME hotel in Plaza Santa Ana has a great rooftop! Go to Plaza Santa Ana and take a stroll in the small streets around it.

Arts & Culture

The most famous museum in Madrid. You can see some of Goya’s most famous pieces here. It is widely considered to have one of the world's finest collections of European art, dating from the 12th century to the early 20th century, based on the former Spanish Royal Collection, and the single best collection of Spanish art. If you come down to the Museum take a stroll down Paseo del Prado street.
