Sightseeing

(About 22 miles, 40 minute drive, from the house) One of my most favorite places to relax, watch the surfers, check out low tide marine life, and take in the beauty and wildlife. There is lower parking for the beach below the campground and also parking up above by the playground. Lots of room for kids to play in open fields. Day use is FREE

Less than a mile hike to the beach from parking lot. There is a bit of a steep hill leading down to the beach but it is pretty short. Sandy Beach that leads West to the bluffs or East all the way to the lighthouse. Plenty of room to spread out away from others. Lots of bird wildlife to view from the lookout along the hike and from the beach. You can even see Mt Baker in the distance on a clear day.

Hikes for the more experienced

This is a more intense hike with rope climbing towards the end. You don't have to do the ropes to get the view over Lake Crescent, but this is a hike you won't forget. Don't be surprised if a few Camprobber birds land on your hand for that perfect photo opp at the very top.
