Getting around

From/To the airport Taxi and Uber

Taxi - This is the quickest way to get from the airport to the city. Usually takes around 25 minutes. Make sure you only take taxi from the oficial taxi queue. Taxi from the airport to the city has a fixed price of 30 euros and can't charge extras. always ask for a receipt in case you forget something in the taxi. You can pay cash or by card. UBER/Cabify app. an Uber can cost a bit less than a taxi depends on the availability and the exact place in the city you go to. Check the app for the exact meeting point.
Getting around

Airport Express bus

This is a cheaper and comfortable way to go from the airport to the city. You can find the airport express bus station outside of each terminal. The bus is yellow and runs every 15 minutes during the day and with less frequency at night. The price is 5 euros per person, can be paid cash with bills of 20 or smaller and by contactless card. The bus has 3 stops in the city, 2 of the in the city center. Cibeles and Atocha.
Getting around

Taxi in the city

You can tell if taxi is free by the green light on the top of it. You can pay taxi by cash or by card. It is useful to use the Free now app especially if you don't know the city well. Inside the city taxi is usually a better option than an Uber/Cabify as they can use the public transport lane which is much quicker on traffic.
