Kind Ice Cream is a local favourite to get your Ice Cream Fix! I hate to admit that I come here way too often and eat way too much ice cream. The Maple Bourbon Pecan is my personal favourite! #sorrynotsorry

The Sugarbowl is a short car (or bike!) ride away and hands down offers the best cinnamon buns in town! This hip place of featured on Food Networks “You Gotta Eat Here”. My second favourite is the chicken and waffles. I always complement my breakfast with their fantastic almond milk latte!

If you feel like venturing out by car, be sure to make a stop at this small but mighty place! This one is another one of my favourites to go to for a date or family day out. Here you will get pretzels and pretzels only. Whether you are getting a full sized pretzel , pretzel “nubs” or a pretzel sandwich you will never be disappointed. My favourite item is the McZwick sandwich followed by sweet cinnamon nubs - yum!

Cafe bicyclette is located in the French quarters and just a short bike ride away , or, if you feel like walking you can get there in about 25 minutes. This local favourite is French and has so much charm. The brunch menu there is scrumptious ! This cafe also offers a wonderful outdoor patio year round with a summer concert series during the summer months. We highly recommend this place for a summer night date night !

One of our favourite Saturday morning activities is to hop on our bikes and ride over to the Old Strathcona Farmers Market. Not only does the farmers market offer a great selection of vendors it is also located in one of the most vibrant areas of town - Old Strathcona! Old Strathcona houses many lively (and award winning!) restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries and local shops to meet all your shopping needs. This area is a great place to spend a full day exploring and eating.
