Their tonkatsu is so crispy and delicious. Many say that it is equal or better to the tonkatsu served in Japan. We suggest making reservations a month in advance as this hot spot is extremely busy. Takeout is also fantastic if you wanted to skip the dine in wait times.

The Cocoa Puffs are a must try. They are so incredibly yummy with their chocolate pudding like centers and local style chantilly. The poi donuts are also so chewy and delicious. Try their loco moco with grilled onions and a runny fried egg. This is hands down my favorite place for loco moco’s. The lines can get really long at the original location (it’s a small diner) but there are a few other locations to choose from.

Get a huge serving of shave ice with a scoop of ice cream hidden at the bottom of the cone. This is such a good way to cool off on those hot Hawaii afternoons. I personally love the strawberry cream flavor with condensed milk. Don’t forget to grab a waffle dog while you’re there too!
