This is literally right behind the house I only know of one entrance which would be on McKellips road, 10 min walking distance. It's an easy hike and offers a great view of Phoenix and the Phoenix Zoo. Watch out for the longhorn sheep on the mountain across. You can probably see them from the house

Tempe Town Lake is a part of the Salt River and divides Tempe into two. Although it's not in Scottsdale its only a 3 min drive down. Papago Park is right before you enter the south port. Nice to ride around in scooters at night!
