A little bit of a drive but in the right spot you’ll enjoy the beach, and views of historic downtown with the deep sea fishing charters venturing in and out of the local harbors.

Golf

Northeast Florida is home to several very good golf courses and home to PGA Tour headquarters. We've highlighted two distinct courses here as they are clear destinations for all golfers.
The Stadium course at TPC Sawgrass is a bucket-list course for every golfer. Can you keep it dry on the world famous "Island Green"? I recommend booking tee-times well in advance. Do not ignore Dye's Valley. The Korn Ferry Tour Championship was played here for years and is a tremendous value when compared to The Stadium course.

Home to the LPGA Tour, LPGA International has two courses that are worth the trip south to Daytona Beach. It is a similar distance as TPC Sawgrass.

Sightseeing

The "Old Fort" may be St. Augustine's most recognized landmarks. There is usually a few showings of how soldiers would load and fire a cannon inside the fort, but if you don't want to pay to enter, it's still worth a trip for the nice walk down the intracoastal and sights around the fort!

Flagler College is now home to what was once the most luxurious hotel in the south. Henry Flagler built the hotel and the architecture is amazing! It's also one of the most haunted buildings in the area if you believe in that sort of thing.

Safe Harbor is part of a local group of seafood restaurants that sources most of it's fish fresh from Mayport in Jacksonville. Mayport if "famous" for it's shrimp. If shrimp what you're looking for, there is no better option.
