Sightseeing

Keystone is a great place for families to enjoy all sorts of activities! From skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, mountain biking, scenic chair rides, ice-skating, Keystone is a great place to enjoy Summer and Winter activities for all ages! After a day of fun, don't forget to check out the Stable sleigh rides or Alpenglow Stube for Fondu, up the gondola at the top of the mountain. Both are great for children as well as awesome experiences for the whole family!

Ski Resorts Activities and Dining

Breckenridge has it all for any age group! From skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, zip lining, rock climbing, putt-putt golf, alpine coaster, alpine slide, mountain biking...Breck is the place to be! The best part is the Gondola is FREE to ride up to the base and enjoy the views with a nice cup of coffee or sit and have a cocktail while watching people ski down! Breck has 5 peaks total and terrain for all ages. Ski school is located at the base of Peak 8 and also at the base of Peak 9. Note that the gondola will take you to Peak 8 base at the last stop. There is plenty of on mountain dining at the bases and at the tops of the chairlifts. If you are on Peak 8, T-bar is a great place to sit on the patio or inside and grab a nice lunch/cocktail with music and great views. At Peak 9, Coppertop up on the second floor is great also! Peak 7, has Sevens Restaurant and AMAZING charcuterie boards as well as some great cocktails to warm you up from skiing. Peak 6 and 10 do not have dining options as they are only accessible by lift and harder terrain. Enjoy Breck!

A-basin as the locals call it, is a great place to get away from the crowds and enjoy more of a local smaller mountain! As they do have bunny hills for children and beginners, its not going to give them as many options as the larger resorts like Breck and Keystone. The views of the Continental Divide are breathtaking to say the least! Note this mountain is strictly skiing and snowboarding, not any other activities. There is a great restaurant at the bottom and also one half way up the mountain with AMAZING views. If you go to A-basin, don't forget to drive up the hill a couple miles and check out the top of the Continental Divide! It makes for great family pictures!

Activities

Frisco Adventure Park is a great place for families to enjoy all sorts of activities! They offer snow tubing, a beginner ski and ride hill, hiking, BMX biking park, skate park and disc golf. Its a great option for snow tubing, especially if you do not have time to go up the gondola in Keystone (I do recommend Keystone as a first option for tubing).

Traveler advice

Book before you go

Ski Rentals

To save yourself some time, it is best to line up ski rentals before coming. This will ensure that they are available when you arrive. If you know the size already, you can have them reserved for you or you can go ahead reserve them and then go get sized when you arrive in town.
Getting around

Summit Stage and Breck Free Ride

Summit Stage is a great FREE way to get all around Summit County if you do not have a car. If you are staying in the Breck area, the Breck Free ride is an easy way to get around town. Make sure to check on there webpages for local times and stops before heading out!
