Parks & Nature

Hike & Bike trail - you can even hit the Santa Fe Trail about 1.5 miles from here that will lead you straight to White Rock Lake. It's a total of about 10 miles to/from there, or you can drive (15 minutes) to it and take the 10 mile loop. If nothing else, it's great to see. :) One of my favorite places for sure.

Shopping

Lots of people love this place. I'm not a mall-goer but tons of shopping, a movie theater, and good eats all in one place.

Outdoor shopping area, just across the highway. Cute boutiquey, pricey shops.

Essentials

It is across the highway and does have a weird entry point but it's the closest most convenient grocery store.

This Target is always packed and a little sub-par in my opinion but a nearby stop if you need it.

The nearest "full" grocery store and usually well kept with enough health conscious items. Just across the street from Target.

Getting Around

I love Budget. I use it everywhere I go; I usually pay ahead and research which location has the cheapest rate in the city I'm in, always works in my favor.

Food Scene

This place is awesome. You can grab a quick bite (homemade meatball sandwiches and the like) and sit at a tiny table inside or out, sip wine while you shop, or take a nice Italian bottle of wine and homemade pizza dough, ice-cream, spaghetti sauce, and cannolis home for later. A perfect little gem.

I go here at least twice a week. A traditional Dallas hot spot - it does get busy, but it's always fairly quick. Tacos done differently. Definitely worth it.

Drinks & Nightlife

A hidden little bar in Deep Ellum - it doesn't have a sign - but just look for the small black corner building with an open sign just at their address. It's a perfect little bar with great custom cocktails; Gabe will do you right at this unassuming bar.

Top Knot sits just above Uchi but it's great for a nice craft cocktail or simple South East Asian inspired tapas. It's open just an hour after Uchi, but it's a nice more casual approach to what happens downstairs.
