Good restaurant where you can bring you own wine. They propose a 4 meal course of french/fusion cuisine with local ingredients for a pretty decent price. Its also on Gilford St so you have the choice. Its better to reserve especially during the weekend.

La Buvette is one of my favorite place because it fits pretty much any situation. If you want a great dinner, with a good glass of wine, animated ambiance for a reasonable price, it's the place. They offer amazing plateaus of cured meat and cheese. They have also seasonal small plates that varies and their well known roasted chicken that has been on the menu forever and serves perfectly as comfort food by excellence. Its open late if you are on a more european schedule. They dont take reservation and its better to go in groups of no more than 6.

Best ice cream place in Montreal for me! Only open from april/may to september/october. Most likely there will be a line, but it goes quick, and it's so delicious that you should not change you mind: you want this ice cream! They have a new flavour of homemade soft served ice cream every two weeks and they make crazy pairings that make their reputation (Like Rose ice cream and Raspberry/litchee sorbet). If your mood changes, go for Gnocchis right next to it, prepared on the spot with tomato italian style sauce. Or go buy Bagels also few doors further!

Try fresh bagel there and have fun comparing with St Viateur Bagels (a little further north). They are two bagels institutions that create few battles between Montrealers in regards of which one does it best!

Amazing syrian food restaurant! Its quite expansive but its an experience! I have never tasted a Fattoush Salad and a Hummus as good! Im pretty sure they only make it better in Syria! Reserve ahead if you are into Middle East food! For a similar experience, but a little less expensive try restaurant Alep or Petit Alep. They also make super good syrian/armenian food! Its in Villeray neighbourhood.

Probably the best sushis in town and its a short walk from the apartment. Fresh fish and creative sushi options, open kitchen with the famous chef welcoming you when you come in! Reserve ahead. The other good options for sushi is also on our street :) haha! Its a great option to take out, but they don't make delivery. If you choose to go sit there, its a good option for a more casual dinner, know that they don't serve alcohol. The best thing to do in good weather is to grab them and eat at the Parc Laurier.

One of the best brewery Montreal has! It gets pretty crowded because its been there for 20 years now and its super popular, and not too big. Its worth to wait a little to taste their great selection of beer and share a nachos in an unpretentious bar.

Closest place where you will find fruits and veggies and other basic stuff for a meal. There is also Marché Laurier just after the gas station, but it's more expensive... although its open later.
