Best ice cream spot in town! Located about 6 blocks from the cottage but worth the walk! Located at 8th ave and Gulf Blvd on the gulf side of the street. Grab some homemade local ice cream from Yoder's Creamery in Sarasota and take a walk on the beach. Their cuban sandwiches are also great! Historically protected building with cottages original to the area next door. A unique hidden gem and local favorite.

Wonderful, large city park with playgrounds, basketball court, tennis and pickle ball courts, baseball field and skate park! Located less than a block from the cottage off of 15th ave. Adjacent to the park is city hall, butterfly garden, the library and the beach arts center.

Take 14th ave to Gulf blvd and turn right, then turn left to cross Gulf Blvd at 15th ave. You may also turn right on 1st st and then left on 15th Ave to be directly across the street from the beach access.
