If you want a very historically diverse street from gourmet grocers (Each Peach,) butchers, bakeries (Elle’s,) farmer’s market on Saturdays, international groceries, consignment shops. The really serious DC’ers know to go for Sun’s Cinema or Marx Cafe for existential discussions. Order at Elle’s online first for coffee and the best Guava pastries ever on Saturday morning and stay for the farmer’s market.

Walk to one of the best parts of DC! Adams Morgan is an eclectic mix of activities with restaurants and a very cool nightlife that mixes the wonks of DuPont/Kalorama with the historically vibrant LGBTQ and POC communities. Make reservations for dinner at Fainting Goat (ahead of time) or Mintwood (Sushi) or Lapis (Upscale Afghan) and stay for drinks at Spacy Cloud. Listen to jazz at Madams Organ.
