The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, and mountain biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from June until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Kind of confusing in some places where the trail isn’t marked but if you use the navigation feature on here it’s helpful.

At an altitude of 7,800 feet, the town is nearly hidden in a beautiful mountain valley, surrounded on almost all sides by Pike National Forest and stunning landscapes. Natural beauties in the area include creeks, waterfalls, a lake - on which Gazebo Island is a focal point of interest and history, rugged cliffs, wildflowers, abundant wildlife and an extensive trail system all help capture the town’s strength and charm. It’s truly a sight for anyone to see. Green Mountain Falls is a quiet and peaceful mountain town with an average population of around 875. The number of people in Town increases in the summer as people from other places arrive to use their family cabins or enjoy a stay at a local Short-Term Rental property. Our summer residents come to show their appreciation and share our love of our community and its mountain living experience. The town’s focal point is an 1890 Victorian Gazebo which can be rented for weddings and other events. Green Mountain Falls is in both the El Paso County and the Teller County.
