Donner Lake is only five minutes away from our vacation rental and is one of our favorite spots in the area! Perfect for beach-going, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and boating. The Donner Memorial State Park has access to the lake in addition to a museum honoring the Donner Party. Multiple accesses to the beach including public docks along Donner Pass Road, the Donner Memorial State Park, and the West End Beach.
