Reasonably priced sushi, Japanese food and Vietnamese food. Funky, fun restaurant with great happy hour specials. Only a couple blocks away. Mochi also serves late night. They offer a pretty little patio too. I try to avoid their back room upstairs. Not as fun as the rest of the restaurant.

I'm using restaurant here because I love the brunch at the Scottish Arms. Make a reservation if you can because The Arms does it up right and is BUSY. Some people view The Arms more as a bar-- especially soccer/football fans. And when I say football I mean Manchester, not the Dallas Cowboys.

We like the Soulard location, but there are two others. The Central West End location is good too. Mission Taco started as a taco truck that was very popular. They've expanded to three restaurants and a catering company. They have great drinks too. Their guac comes with cheese, so if you're a purest like me, make sure to ask for it without cheese.

Yaquis on Cherokee has great pizza. It's small and intimate and offers live music some nights. The best night to go is Friday- late with the Gas Light Squares and some of Pokey LeFarge's backing band get together and jam. It's awesome. The wine list is nice too.

Blueberry Hill is a must see when in St. Louis. Joe Edwards is a collector and there is a lot to look at. Make sure to give yourself an hour or two. The food here is simple and very good. The cheese balls are my favorite. If you have time, sit at a table with a board game, grab some drinks and food and ask your waiter for the game pieces. It's sooo fun! Oh and breakfast is served all day. This restaurant is also very busy at night. And there are TWO music venues in the basement.

Across the street from Blueberry Hill, Salt and Smoke is Texas-style BBQ. This is my favorite BBQ restaurant in St. Louis. They are busy, but they move people through. They have GREAT food and it's not expensive. However, the bourbon is- so make sure to watch what you order from the bar. I heard there's a Facebook page dedicated to their creamed corn. The Central West End is a fantastic neighborhood to explore, shop and grab lunch. Historic and packed with restaurants, shops, cafes and a few bars. This is where the City's "upper classes" live. Sometimes parking can be a beast! It's a little on the pricier side. This area also hosts the City's most expensive houses on Portland and Westmoreland. Turn of the century homes, these million-dollar houses were built by the founders of St. Louis. All are more than 115 years old and most are at least three stories. I would suggest walking through the neighborhood... but their security detail will find you and ask you to leave.

I would suggest walking through the neighborhood... but their security detail will find you and ask you to leave.
The U. City Loop is very busy, full of restaurants, shops, cafes music venues, a Walk of Fame and parks. It's awesome. Right next to Washington University, this area "feels" young. Make sure to pop into Vintage Vinyl- our oldest record store. A trip to St. Louis is not complete unless you visit Blueberry Hill. Just past the Loop going East on Skinker are two music venues, a really cool bowling alley, more shops and bars and the Moonrise Hotel, which has TWO rooftop bars.

Built for the World's Fair this is a great place to go and chill out. Plus, it's only $2 to get in. You can get in and out in 20 mins. In the Summer, the outside is really awesome.
