Neighborhoods

The West Ashley Greenway is literally a five-minute walk from the cottage. Whole Foods Market, Starbucks, Glass Onion, one of our favs (Refined-Southern soul-food eatery), Swing & Swine, are all within a short walk. A little longer walk and you’ll experience the delightful Avondale community…Pearlz Oyster Bar, Highfalutin Coffee Roasters (best banana nut bread ever…it’s from Wildflour Pastry), Verde (create your own salad in a casual space), Top Rated Charles Towne Fermentory, Triangle Char and Bar (vibrant – burgers, tacos & more), Avondale Wine & Cheese and many more. A little further out you’ll find the St. Andrews Center which houses Harris Teeter along with other merchants. A few of our favorite stops is found at the South Windermere Center…Three Little Birds Café, a cozy café with breakfast or light lunch, always a wait BUT worth it, another of our favs. TCBY (cheery chain for frozen yogurt) and Earth Fare a Health Food Store are just a few of the merchants.
