Food scene

This is our favourite pub in North Norfolk. The food is excellent and the outlook over the marshes out to sea is second to none.

Seafood heaven by the sea Rocky Bottoms started out as an 1800s brick kiln with a purpose to fire bricks. Eventually the brick kiln was unable to compete with larger competitors and closed down after WW2. Since this time the brick kiln has offered itself as agricultural storage until it collapsed and stood derelict. In 2008 the brick kiln’s potential and need of restoration was spotted by local fishing family; The Matthews. After years of love and attention, Rocky Bottoms, as we know it today was born. Our doors opened in May 2015, just in time for the start of the crab season. We deliver local shellfish from pot to plate in a laid back environment. Rocky Bottoms believes in enjoying the simpler things in life! https://www.rockybottoms.co.uk/crab-hut

The food is very good with great outdoor seating. If you get the chance, try to jet seated in the pub area when restrictions allow.

Fantastic pub and hugely popular. It happens to be within walking distance of Old King William! At the time of writing [april] it's not yet open. Opening up again on 17th May. Food is very, very good and in an idyllic country village setting.

More than an eatery (although the food is phenomenal), it’s a Brit art gallery, an ex hunting lodge, a pub with locals and a deer park with sculptures. It’s en route to Norwich so 1/2 hour drive but so, so worth it. Book way ahead.

One of the best beaches on the entire planet. I've travelled to New Zealand on a quest to find the best beach but i swear, it couldnt top either Wells nor Holkham in my opinion!

The beach at Holkham is one of the most unspoilt and beautiful stretches of sand in the country. Behind the shoreline lies a semi-circular basin, which, at very high tides, rapidly fills to form a spectacular shallow lagoon. The actress Gwyneth Paltrow walked across Holkham sand at low tide during the closing scenes of the film ‘Shakespeare in Love’.

During the outing, there will be opportunities to swim and see the incredible scenery and wildlife.
