Getting around

Driving your car is the easiest way to get around the island

The is almost no traffic to speak of and very few stoplights. Most locations have ample parking, especially if you don't mind walking a few blocks.
What to pack

Be sure to bring a raincoat, even in summer

The weather on the island is unpredictable and can change rapidly. It is a good idea to dress in layers and always be sure to have a raincoat handy.

Bring comfortable outdoor walking or hiking shoes

Many of the best places on Whidbey Island are seen from it's numerous hiking trails. Slip on some comfy shoes, grab your rain coat (just in case) and get outdoors!
