Excellent café with homemade almond milk, espresso, yummy pastries, salads and sandwiches. Known for their Crazy Cookie. I'm a "toast" fanatic, so I love their fig and homemade ricotta toast. Fillmore St.

Right next door to Pizzeria Delfina. They make the ice cream right in front of you! Interesting (yet very yummy) ice cream combinations. California St.

A NYC favorite bagelry has just landed in SF. The go-to is a lox sandwich ($11) or open face bagel ($14) on everything, sesame, or my favorite salt bagel. If you're not feeling fishy, I was also told the Bodega Egg & Cheese with crispy pastrami is good. Not cheap.

Looking for an afternoon high tea? A perfect spot for a girls' weekend. This place cannot get any more girlie. It is in the heart of Japantown and the cute/girlie atmosphere really fills every inch of this place. Cucumber sandwiches, scones, lemon curd, and clotted cream are some of my favorites in the high tea. The tea is good too, of course! If you're not into all that and are actually hungry, they have a regular American menu to order off of as well.

This is an awesome bar/coffee shop because they offer wifi while you eat and drink. Old movies place on the projector on the wall. It's really a little bit of everything that is great about a bar and coffee shop.

A cool movie theater within walking distance from the apartment. This movie theater is seat reserved, but can be bought on the spot. Alcohol, food, and bites are all welcome in the theater. This is not your average theater and there are comfy seats.
