Try a tasting flight of a variety of house made ciders while eating delicious tapas and small meals in a beautiful outdoor setting overlooking a pastoral valley. It’s a short drive or a pleasant half hour walk from our place.

This is where we come when we want a celebratory dinner. The dinners are amazing. There’s a nice view over the harbour and a patio.

Salt Spring Inn is a cozy pub style restaurant with a very varied menu and a nice patio right in the middle of town. In the winter it’s nice and snug with a central fireplace.

There are numerous trails at this provincial park. My favourites are through the fields to the welcome poles at the beach or out to Daffodil Point.

Around the top of Mt Maxwell has amazing viewpoints. Drive up to the Provincial Park. Just as you reach the park boundary, there will be a split rail fence on the right. Park here and the trail begins at the fence. Once you reach the main viewpoint you can scamper down the other side and the trail continues on to some very special lookouts.

Mt. Erskine ( the Juniper trailhead, or Trustees Trail, is not as steep as the Assault Route of Collins Rd) has well marked trails and some hidden fairy doors on the way up to a great viewpoint at the top.
