Saguaro National Park is composed of two distinct districts: The Rincon Mountain District and the Tucson Mountain District. The Tucson Mountain District lies on the west side of Tucson, Arizona, while the Rincon Mountain District lies on the east side of Tucson. Both districts were formed to protect and exhibit forests of their namesake plant: the Saguaro Cactus. * Note: there is a per vehicle fee for entering the park

Great for a sunset drive or pulling over to look out at all of the beautiful saguaro. There are a good amount of spots to pull over and hike around at. Bring some snacks and have a picnic while the sun goes down.

Hiking / Outdoors

Mount Lemmon is a great escape for us in the summer when the temperatures get too hot. With a summit elevation of 9,159 feet, is the highest point in the Santa Catalina Mountains. Great for hiking, climbing, picnicking, or even just driving up and stopping out at the pullouts to take in the views, Lemmon is great to explore.

Tumamoc Hill is a great local hike up a steep paved road that overlooks the city. Since it is paved it is also fun to come here at night to see the city lights or pick a day when there is a full moon. It is really close to the house, is a good workout, and will not eat up an entire day.

I really love to get breakfast or lunch here. This restaurant and market is walking distance from my house. What's also great is they use local farms for their food that support the community.

A great little out door area with a bunch of cute shops, a bar, and some restaurants. There is a nice outdoor courtyard for seat that has a ton of plants and usually some live music playing on their small stage.

One of Tucson's oldest Mexican restaurants, el charro has a lot of locations scattered around Tucson and I recommend any of them. I love to get the Carne Seca plate here, served with fresh tortillas. Don't forget a margarita too
