The Majorero Cheese Museum is the ideal setting to get to know one of the typical products of Fuerteventura , in addition to delving into the culture and history of the island. The visit does not take too long, so if you are in the area it may be a good opportunity to visit it. Once you visit the museum, in its shop you will have the opportunity to taste some of the best cheeses on the island , but you must bear in mind that, once you try them, you will most certainly not be able to avoid including them in your suitcase.

Traveler advice

Getting around

A car is not necessary, but to explore it's a must!

A network of footpaths can be followed across the resort - perfect for nice coastal walks! Buses on the Canary Islands are known as ¨Guaguas¨ pronounced ¨wahwhas¨. An efficient and cost-effective bus service operates across the island with a modern bus station at Caleta accommodating 3 routes. Fuerteventura’s main road system is simple to navigate and well maintained. Most taxi rides for up to 4 people are less than €4 within the resort. A taxi to the airport costs between €12 and €15.
