There are reputed to be 70 eateries in this area, plus a lively scene at Pop Brixton right by it. Salon is my favourite restaurant in Market Row. There's also the Honest Burger, and many more world food places, beer garden, etc etc.

Traveler advice

Ways to save

Remember to check restaurant and cafe bills.

If a bill shows 'Service Charge included' don't tip. The service charge already covers that. It's usually 12.5%
Traveling with kids

Public transport is free for under-11s.

So don't stress....
Traveling with kids

Buses have space for buggies.

Do use the buses: you can see everything from the upper decks which make for a great viewing platform once you've tackled the stairs.
Getting around

The tube is the fastest most reliable way of getting around

BUT - try at all costs to avoid rush hours... Remember too that many of the stations have lifts or stair-free access. Staff are on hand to help.
