Great pub, with nice food. Lovely place to start and finish some great walks and bike rides. 40 minutes drive away, but the drive is beautiful, along some of the best roads through the most beautiful parts of the New Forest.

We're told by a very reliable source that this is the best pub food in the whole area. We've not ventured there in our relatively short time in the area yet, but the menu on the website looks fab

This is a lovely pub which is a 30 minute walk up small roads and bridleways from the cottage. Beautiful old building with low beams and cosy log fires, excellent food and a good choice of beers.

Really lovely little gardens, around 10 mins drive from cottage. Especially good for little children, with lots of hidden fairy doors in amongst the planting. Nice cafe.

Lovely little town, with nice little shops. Right in the heart of the forest so guaranteed ponies....particularly on the large open heaths to the North and West of the village...Black Knowl and Whitemoor.
