Great place to hike! You can take a short hike (1-3 mile) or a long hike along the water(7-9 miles). There are also bike trails for bikers. In the parking area on the Bay side of shore drive, there is a place to charge your electric vehicle if you havve one! Take plenty of water and dont forget the bug spray if it is warm weather.

Getting around

Avoid the tunnels between 6 and 9 am and 3 and 6 pm.

You can get to Virginia Beach the scenic way by taking Ocean View Avenue to Shore Drive and following it all the way there. This is advisable during rush hours. The HRBT does not charge a fee, however the Portsmouth Tunnel charges by the plate.
Getting around

Travelling through the Portsmouth Tunnel incurs a fee.
