Sightseeing

The local Sunday (8.00am-noon) market is superb. Why not visit the local cafe/bar while you are there. The Réné Descartes museum is excellent. We are amazed at what he has done and where he travelled.

As well as being the centre of red wine vineyards, Chinon is a pleasant town to visit with a good chateau. Market day is Thursday and there are plenty of good restaurants to visit.
