Toronto is officially the most multicultural city in the world. More than half our population was born outside Canada. This has done wonders for our food scene. Canadians are generally very open to new immigrants. We understand English in any accent, so there is no need to apologize for yours if you have one. We are a shy and polite bunch until you get to know us, but don't hesitate to ask for directions. People will be helpful.
