For a relaxing day outdoors in the fresh air, with peace and quiet, the Botanical Gardens is the place to be! It is within the city limits of Iasi and is the ultimate place to commune with nature.
The Anastasie Fătu” Botanical Gardens of Iasi or Grădina Botanică is the oldest in the country. Every year, at the end of October, a wonderful chrysanthemum exhibition is organized. Apart from chrysanthemums, you can also find the largest collection of varieties of roses in Romania.

It was built to be the Palace of Justice and Administration, a function it served for 30 years, before being transformed into a museum in 1955. Today, it hosts four different museums, (a History Museum, an Ethnographic Museum, a Science Museum and an Art Museum) in 300 rooms over 36,000 square meters. It was just recently re-opened in 2016 after 8 years of its latest major restoration at a cost of approx. 26 million euros.

Here you can enjoy the best food, ambience and music that Moldovan tradition has to offer! It is a highly recommended experience.

Getting around

Use a taxi! Cost only 2-3 Euros to get to the town center!

When you come to the Penthouse Villa from the Airport or if you need to go into town, please use a taxi. It is very convenient (2-3 Euros) to go to the Commercial Center/Palas or to the Town Center (Piata Unirii). See the Welcome Book for Taxi Contacts (and other useful information).
