I live close to three citi bike stations - my favorite being the one right outside Central Park on 110th and Adam Clayton Powell. Download the app and ride your bike through the park! (Cheaper than renting bikes inside of the park)

For only a $3 ferry ride (which is enjoyable in itself!), you can visit one of the most unique places in New York. Full of history, beautiful scenery and gorgeous architecture, this is a fun sightseeing spot to visit!

Traveler advice

Getting around

Citimapper

The app "citimapper" was (and still is) my best friend with navigating the city. It's a great app that helps you get anywhere using the subways, uber, walking or biking. It will tell you if any subways are delayed, tips on which area of the train to sit in, and even tell you how many calories you'll burn off in your walking! :)
Customs and culture

Subway Etiquette

Always let passengers off the subway before entering :)
What to pack

Bring comfortable walking shoes

Lots of stairs and walking in this beautiful city, so be sure to bring something comfy to walk around in! :)
