Food scene

Chinese fusion restaurant with unique dishes and a fun atmosphere for group dinners. Highly recommend the old thousand cocktail, mala chicken, brisket fried rice, cauliflower, and steamed buns. They do like their spices, so ask for dipping sauces to go with the food. If you're there for dim sum, they have a cart that comes around to try small bites that are delicious.

One of our favorite brunch places. They have a high quality flare on all the brunch classics. If you're feeling saucy, get a mimosa pitcher for the table. You won't be disappointed. Side note- also a GREAT place for oysters.

Traveler advice

Ways to save

Happy Hours

Happy hours are bountiful and wonderful ways to get some of the best food at the best prices. Try Seven Grand, Licha's, Better Half, Odd Duck, Uchiko.
Book before you go

Brunch

If you have more than 4 people, I highly recommend making brunch reservations since you can easily wait an hour or more for the most popular brunch spots in Austin.
What to pack

Allergy Pills

Start taking allergy pills a few days before coming and take them while here. Cedar is especially high from December to February and can make you miserable if you are sensitive to it.
