Excellent views of he city, plus massive sand beaches that seem to go for miles, especially when the tide is out. Also beach volleyball. Spanish Banks, is the most westerly of he beaches [unless one chooses to continue on to the nude beaches at Wreck Beach], but Lucarno, and Jericho beaches nearer the city also benefit from the tide exposed sand.

Technically the house is in the south edge of Kitsilano, but the real action [shopping?] is along 4th Avenue, from Burrard west to Larch. Once the home of the hippy scene, it has since become much more expensive due to its access to the beach, and a convenient route to UBC and to downtown Once the beach area was the home of a First Nations village, and was named after Chief Khatsahlano. Now the beach has a restaurant, beach volleyball, and an excellent swimming pool.

Located between Stanley Park, English Bay, the Harbour and the city center, the West End was once the cool place to live, and still is for many. Vancouver's gay village is centered in the Davie street area. The Robson street shops are trendy, and nearby Albernie has some very upscale retailers.
