Mountain adventure to see. You can park at Mountain village and ride the tram down into Telluride. See the mountain and fancy shops and historical places. Interesting history about this mining town. The miners call this place to-hell-u-ride because of the bad road leading up to the mine. Today it is Telluride. That’s what I was told the name came from.

Mesa Verde and gateway to canyon of ancients

A visit from end May to Labor Day at Mesa Verde. Stop at building before you enter the park to get an idea where to stop because it is a long drive. Consider buying tickets to a tour like Cliff Palace or Balcony House. To see how the Cliff dwellers lived by climbing up into the place they lived. It maybe extra but I feel it is worth it. Driving the area on your time, stop into the Heritage Center north 145 hwy to 184 hwy, to get maps to ruins you can drive to. Called Gate way to the Canyon of Ancients. Nice spring drive before or after Mesa Verde tours close.
