Situated in the south of Dénia, under a cliff situated within the marine reserve of San Antoni Cape we can find the Cova Tallada (sculpted cave), a cavity open to the sea with a diameter of 400 m. The grotto was made to win raw stones, which were used by the Muslims to build their fortresses. The cave is located at the end of Les Rotes beach, a little path with ashtonishing views along the Mediterranean sea. Finally you have to climb to get to the opening of the grotto. As a recommendation, you need good footwear and if you want to visit the deepest tunnels you will need a lantern

Gastronomy

You should know that you cannot leave Dénia without trying: Coques de D´acsa, Arroz Abanda, Arroz al horno, figatells and Pulpo Seco (dryied octopus). And also you should stop to try the artisanal ice creams and their lemon slush of heladería Verdú, near our office.
