Some of our favorite hikes in the area
Great short hike with sweeping views of north county from the top. Starts at Highway 41, and traverses uphill to a vista point with a labeled sign for reference points. Wide trail, with loops for a different return. Can be closed during rain storms due to a creek crossing.

A beautiful coastal hike a short drive from our home. We’ve seen Peregrine Falcon, Red Tailed Hawk, and coyote on the trail, as well as numerous sea life in the tide pools at the ocean. Stunning coastline views when you reach the ocean, with plenty of exploring to do along the rocky tide pools.

Quick little 10 minute hike that offers unparalleled views of Morro Bay, the estuary, and Los Osos/Baywood Park. Great for a quick picnic or watching a sunset with a bottle of wine. One of the Seven Sisters (old volcanic formations local to our area).

Iconic San Luis Obispo hike that is well traveled. It is steep and long, but offers unparalleled views of San Luis Obispo from the top.
