My favorite spots for view & meditation

These spots are in Thessaloniki and are my favorite when I want to enjoy the most stunning views over the city.
The Trigoniou Tower is one of the spots that I would recommend to anyone who is visiting Thessaloniki. Built in the late 15th century at the top of the Old Town of Thessaloniki, it offers magical panoramic views of the whole city and sea. It is very close from the apartment - just 15 minutes walking distance. I would go there either early in the morning when Mt Olympus is also visable in order to begin my day with the most optimistic way, or late in the evening to rest my eyes in the beauty of th scenery and dream.

Probably the most Instagramable place the last years in Thessaloniki. This spot is so beloved and famous among all locals. George Zongolopoulos - a famous local sculpturer - had his work excibited in Thessaloniki waterfront in 1997. Since then millions of people have admired the sunset colors from there and have taken their photo there. During summertime, one can enjoy there also street musicians playing their music.

Visiting Rotonta and especially entering the inside of it is a unique experience. It is actually one the oldest buildings standing in Thessaloniki, coming from the Roman Era. During summertime, the cool temperatures that can be found inside - due to the amazing structure - are the best relief even during extreme heat wave.

Γειτονιές

Ano Poli is my favorite neghborhood in Thessaloniki because it combines both the most beautiful and peaceful semi urban scenery, but also it is only 15 minutes walking distance from anything you need to see in the heart of the city centre. Ano Poli is a beautiful, historical neighborhood of preserved character with traditional architectural style. Built in the uphill part of the city centre, Ano Poli offers the most amazing panoramic views, but also exciting and adventurous walks through its narrow alleys that give a visitor a unique experience to time travel.Ano Poli, with its cobblestone alleys and Byzantine and Ottoman era monuments is Thessaloniki’s most iconic neighborhood.
