Home of Scotland’s National poet, Rabbie Burns. Perhaps best known the world over for the song “For Auld Lang Syne” which is traditionally sung at New Year celebrations. Our daughter Hannah will be holding her wedding reception here in March 2020. Don't miss a visit to the thatched cottage and follow the "Poet's Walk" along to the museum. Have a drink or a coffee in the "Brig O' Doon" Hotel which is close by, and don't forget to visit the Auld Brig at Alloway where the drunken Tam's horse Meg lost her tail to Cutty Sark in the famous story of "Tam O' Shanter"
