Wichita Art Museum
1400 Museum BlvdA great place to take a walk along the river to see the Keeper statue. At 9:00 each night the statue is lit by the Circle of Fire. The statue is a landmark that everyone should see when visiting Wichita. Beautiful park in the museum district. Exploration Place (children's museum) is the south, the Mid-America Indian Museum is to the west, and a little bit further west is the Wichita Art Museum.

Derby is a great place to raise a family and retire. Lots of great parks (Madison Central Park, Warren Riverview Park, High Park, Rock River Rapids water park, Field Station Dinosaur), good places to shop and eat, and other amenities such as a new library, senior center and recreation center (www.derbyweb.com)

The Air Capitol of the World. More aircraft have been built in Wichita than any other city in the world. Cessna, Beechcraft, Learjet, Stearman, and Spirit AeroSystems were all started here. Spirit builds the entire fuselage for the Boeing 737. You might see some of those on railcars just north of Derby to the west of Southeast Blvd. They are shipped up to Everett, WA for final assembly.
Wichita is an entrepreneurial city which hatched Pizza Hut, Coleman, White Castle, and Rent-a-Center. Freddy's Frozen Custard was started and is still headquartered in Wichita, and is the fastest-growing quick-serve franchise in the US. Other companies in town include the second largest privately-held company in the US, Koch Industries, as well as fan-maker Vornado Air and Cargill Protein.

Location
We are 5 easy minutes from the Institute for Restorative Health in Derby.
We are 20 minutes from downtown Wichita where you will find Intrust Arena, and many of the restaurants listed in the Guidebook. ICT (Wichita Eisehower Airport) is also 20 minutes away.
