If you have time, try and get out on Auckland's beautiful harbour. Pop across to Devonport for a cafe lunch and walk around (a North Shore suburb) or head out to Waiheke Island - the winery tours there are excellent

Uber is the way to go for getting round the inner city but across the road on Nelson street is a public carpark if you bring your own car and car rental office to hire one if you plan to go further afield

A beautiful inner city park. Walk down Victoria Street, cross Queen Street. Go up Victoria East street and you will see the steps. On the other side of the park is Auckland University which has some lovely buildings and architecture worth seeing
