I love heading here on my bike (it’s an hour ride each way). The ride up the hill is tough—it’s on the route of the Horrible Hilly Hundred bike race — but the views are sublime and so is the hiking. They also have swimming. If you drive you’ll need to buy a park pass.

Blue Mound State Park
