Quality Authentic Mexican
Historic Mexican restaurant which has great quality and recently remodeled to add modern touches, with a large bar.
Authentic cuisine. Standard prices. One of my favorite local spots when I’m treating a guest.
Not fancy but a good option. Close to the house. Drive through option, but dine in, if time permits.

Local brewery, nothing amazing.
Simple, a few local beers. My favorite is a chocolate mint beer.
Has a view of the Coronado bridge and outside seating. They don’t serve food, so you can bring dogs and your own food (saving money!)
While technically not a brewery, they have the best selection of beer in a city famous for craft beer.
Unique, fun, and not stuck up. Can get crowded, but worth the energy.
