Groceries

Amazing selection of wine and local beer. Sandwiches are great and a good selection of prepared meals, if cooking isn't your thing. Lots of local products to select from so you can see what Maine has to offer. I'd recommend going and enjoying the experience like we do. If that is not your thing, order online with BOW2GO and they'll have your items ready for you when you arrive.

Restaurant's (local)

Seafood, sandwiches and tacos. Too many good restaurants to list, but here are a hand full we enjoy.
Lobster rolls, clams, scallops, fries....Its your classic Maine seafood feast but offers non seafood eaters some tasty options as well. Oh, did we mention, it is BYOB or Wine to enjoy with your meal! Sit inside or outside, but we highly recommend sitting outside as its on the water and you can enjoy the views of the harbor.

Restaurants (Portland, Yarmouth)

If you don't traveling 10-20 minutes, these are worth the drive
One of our favorite spots to go. Oysters obviously, but don't be afraid to venture on to other things on the menu. Usually a wait, so don't show up hungry. They will usually let you put in your name then you can walk around the area and grab a drink or quick snack at a different spot in the area.

One of Portland's best dining experiences. Small plates meant to be shared. Again, usually a significant wait, so go early to put in your name, then walk around the streets of the Old Port until they are ready for you.

We have not checked this place out, but this is just a few minutes from the house and we copied and pasted a review from Trip advisor below. We will be checking this place out this summer! "While on holiday in Freeport we were looking for somewhere to spend a hot, sunny day. This was perfect. Lovely small private beach which was ideal for cooling dips in the sea. Beautiful scenic walk around the headland with great views of the bay. Access to playground and other facilities. Worth checking the tide times though as at low tide it will be mostly mud! Just 3 dollars per person for day visitors - bargain."
