Just North of Lodi in Ovid we have our own little coffee shop. It's a good place to have that morning java before heading off to the Wine Trail. There are usually scones and other baked goodies to add to the experience.

Things to Do

There's no shortage of great things to do when you stay at the Old Whittier Library.
Taughannock Falls is the highest falls east of the Mississippi. Yes, it is higher that Niagara but not as wide and dramatic. Yet, very dramatic. You can view it from the overlook or walk up the gorge to it's base; It is stunning.

The hike up the Gorge at Watkins Glen is fabulous. I recommend you walk up because you see so much more going up. Coming down may be slightly easier but you don't see as much. If you haven't done it; Do it. The Village of Watkins Glen is such a little tourist stop. Great place to pick up a souvenir.

Seneca Falls is a very important place in the history of women in America. The very first Women's Convention was held there back in 1848. It was truly a hotbed of civil unrest. It's a quiet little town now but worth a visit. The Women's Hall of Fame is just down the street from the Park.
