One of the oldest pubs in Edinburgh, the Golf Tavern was founded in 1456. This buzzing links-side pub serves up cask ales and a pub grub on rustic wood tables. There is an 18 hole pitch and putt on the Links, and Golf Clubs can be rented for a £5 deposit. Only open during summer it's really good fun, and adds an extra element to a pretty normal pub day out!

The menu is seasonal and based around firm favourites with inventive twists. Although tweaked every month with new dishes rotating, the back bone of the menu remains classic brasserie with something for everyone.
