Traveler advice

Getting around

The subway or Metro is most convenient in Barcelona

You can get a city pass, but I would suggest to get a T10. You get 10 trips for a little more than 10 euros. You can buy them in the automatic tellers but be aware that you will need one card per person.
Customs and culture

No tipping mandatory

In Spain most people do not tip or if they do, they just round up so they do not take small change home. The nicer the place, the more they may expect a higher "small change" tip.
Getting around

Keep your belongings out of sight

Avoid advertising your most precious valuables like watches, rings, cameras, ... and if possible place your wallet in your front pockets. It is better to be safe than sorry.
Book before you go

Gaudi attractions

Like the Sagrada Familia, most Gaudi attractions are highly popular, so it is advisable to book in advance. There are available guided tours in English which are quite enjoyable.
