Lofthus serves up some amaaaaazing pizza. It is a little ways off from Frogner, but it is worth the trip. You get to take a ride through Oslo on your way there! Check out their website as they have opened additional locations. We have not tried the "new" ones, so we can only can speak for the "original".

We recently visited this gem in Frogner, and it comes highly recommended. It offers an intimate space, and guests are either seated at one of the few tables or right by at the "bar" where you will be less than 3 meters from the chefs that prepare the food right in front of you. Bokbacka offers a set menu of 6-7 courses with additional courses for those that would like to sample a bit more. Of course, they also offer a wine menu or wine by the glass to accompany the food. The restaurant is just down the street from the apartment, and it is a short walk worth taking. Make a reservation before going!

Sapporo Ramen bar is an extension of Mathallen. If you are into ramen, here is the place to go for some authentic noodle-slurping action! The menu is simple with 3 types of ramens to choose from. You can also purchase a side of gyozas to make the meal even better.

We agree with the Michelin guide that Kontrast deserves a star. The food was served as art and tasted as good as it looked. Kontrast offers a set menu and you may choose wine to accompany your dinner.

If you like Dim Sum, so you should definitely take a trip to DimSum by Taste of China, the best dim sum in town, according to many. It it also approved by Judy's parents, authentic foodies from Hong Kong. Traditionally, dim sum is served around brunch time. However, DimSum serves dim sum and other dishes all day long. You might need to book a table if you want to visit in the evening time during the weekend. Otherwise, walk-in is just fine.

Umi Sushi is a small, clean sushi place, perfect for a quick take-away. They only have one or two tables, so take-away is probably your best option. They serve good quality sushi and the staff are very friendly.
