Really good coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Their fresh fruit bowl or yogurt and made-from-scratch granola are the healthiest breakfast options in our area. Watch out for the waffles unless you have time for a nap afterwards - they're amazing.

Burgers, enchiladas, tostadas, waffle fries, horchata ... A & B is an iconic restaurant and long standing part of local culture. They have supported our local schools and youth for many years! Don't be fooled by appearances though - the food doesn't usually come out "fast."

Great steak, white table linens, and really good burgers. Los Arcos has a small outdoor patio and a full bar, however no draft beer and a little pricey -- but if you like a good steak this is one of our oldest and nicest establishments.

Pacific Island fair - and a full salad bar, they also serve beer and wine. It's a little hard to find due to the topography of Date street, but worth the effort. They have dishes in all price ranges. Their new "Tiny Chicken Bowl" is perfect for a small appetite.

High quality coffee served several mornings each week, in a meandering used book store, full of treasures. They often have bakery goodies as well.

It's a golf resort, with a stunning view of the greens, the mountains, and a very large outdoor patio. One of the few locations that serve liquor in our area. Service is slow, don't be in a hurry.

Parks & Nature
Our park is along the beautiful Rio Grande, in an area that has water in it almost every day of the year. Free wifi in our city park! This park is open until midnight, if you can't sleep you can go play basketball or sit by the water.

A reservoir in the desert, the lake shores are mostly wide sandy beaches, filled with smooth water reflecting the desert sky. It can be very still and beautiful - It can also be filled with boats and families and lots of excitement around the 4th of July and other summer weekends. With around 250 miles of shoreline, at capacity, there is enough space to share with many styles of recreation.

Getting Around
It's best to drive here if you plan on exploring the area outside of downtown. All of downtown is within easy walking distance. If you like bicycles, it's a great way to see the area but be prepared for desert conditions and many, many flat tires.
