Food Scene

A great vegan/vegetarian neighboorhood restaurant that is open late! Brunch can be pretty crazy, so avoid going on a Saturday or Sunday before ~3pm.

Great local coffee shop that never seems to be too busy. Bonus: An authentic, Austin breakfast taco truck is located in the parking lot next to the shop. Cash only! But so, so good!

A new South Congress addition with an amazing wine list! Open basically all day, but the dinner menu really shines. Perfect for a date night. Great patio equipped with misters for those warm, Texas days.

A 15 min car ride East, transports you to Justine's, a hidden late-night, local favorite. The tintype photo booth makes for a great souvenir. The mirrored room in the backyard "keeps Austin weird". And the French cuisine and extensive cocktail menu satisfies bellies and hearts!

C-Boys' is a stones-throw from the apartment. They usually have live-music (and a cover fee) but the drinks are strong, the upstairs lounge is romantic, and the scene is local.
